Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all you mommies out there, and to everybody's mommies!

I was trying to figure out when I'd get to start unwrapping my presents myself again, and figured out it's going to be when Jade and Quentin start fighting over who gets to open them. Shouldn't be too many holidays away. :)

Quentin is sick. Feverish yesterday, threw up. Seems fine today, but still wondering if we should bring him to dinner with his great-great-grandmother. Yesterday his tummy hurt (his chest, "not too bad," and his head was "fine, better than his tummy." Then of course, there were the fights to get him in the tub to cool him off. He wanted to go potty first. He sat on the potty for almost an hour without going, and didn't want to get in the tub without. Ended up picking him up and carrying him into the tub where he proceeded to hit me and scream at me until I was about to take him out again (we were done) and he decided he didn't want to go potty, he wanted to stay in the tub with me.

My breakfast is ready. Hope you all had yummy breakies too.

:)

Happy Mother's Day Jen! Hope you are enjoying a good day. Sorry Quentin is ill, Kyle's sickness started the same way. Kyle looks like he has made it over the hump, only took 6 days. He slept from 4pm yesterday until 6:30 this morning. It was crazy but I knew that his body must need it. He woke up a couple of times and kind of chattered something to us but went back to sleep. Today he hasn't needed any tylenol or advil.

I, however, am beat. My ear is better today - yesterday it really hurt - it would start to sting with any loud sounds. Everything else seems to be on the mend - I took tylenol this morning but I really felt like it was messing me up so I don't plan on taking anything else for the rest of the day.

So what would Mother's Day be without an accident? Kyle decided to open the doors to get out on the deck and once out there started shutting them. Of course he munched his thumb in the last door he closed. So now it is quiet at our house. Michael went to sleep, Kyle went to sleep (his thumb is ok just bruised) and I've retreated to the basement because Kyle's thumb is my fault. The old fight about 'well why weren't you watching him' started. I realize that I should have been paying closer attention but he has closed and opened those doors a lot. He has never had a problem. Blaming me for it is like putting salt in the wound... I feel bad enough about it happening. Men. And now that I'm done venting I'm going to redecorate my guest room, Paula is here in 6 days to use it :) HOORAY!
